Psychotherapy · Assessment · Continued Care

A space where rigour and the human coexist.

The Psingular clinic is a place of depth — where each therapeutic process is built from the person, not from a protocol. With analytical foundation, openness to neuroscience and real presence.

How we think about care

At Psingular, we believe that effective psychotherapy is not a technique applied to a problem. It is a process of understanding — slow when it must be, deep always.

Our clinical approach is grounded in Carl Gustav Jung's analytical psychology and in psychodynamic models as our epistemological base. But we do not ignore what contemporary neuroscience tells us about how the brain encodes experience, regulates emotion and constructs narratives of the self.

More than treating symptoms in isolation, we are concerned with understanding what acts in depth, what repeats itself, what remains unnamed, and what calls for elaboration. Psingular · Founding Statement

These two worlds do not contradict each other. They inform each other — and it is in that dialogue that what makes our practice distinctive resides.

We also work with third-wave cognitive-behavioural approaches in specific clinical contexts, always with clinical judgement and never with school-bound ideology.

What we offer

Each service is conceived as its own space. The principal ones are listed here — all with an initial assessment consultation, with no commitment to continue.

01

Individual Psychotherapy

A space of listening, analysis and transformation. We work with adults who seek to understand repeated patterns, to traverse difficult transitions, or to find greater coherence between what they feel and what they live.

02

Analytical Psychology

The Jungian analytical process has individuation as its horizon — the movement towards a more conscious and integrated relationship with oneself. It works with dreams, images, symbols and the unconscious dimension of experience.

Unsure where to start? That's normal.

The first session is an assessment meeting — with no commitment to continue. It is the moment to see whether it makes sense for us to work together, and in what direction.

If you have questions beforehand, just speak with us. No complex forms. No indefinite waiting lists.

01

First contact

Send a message or call. We reply within 24–48 working hours with availability and clarification of initial questions.

02

Assessment consultation

A meeting of approximately 60 minutes. We get to know your situation and frame what may make sense.

03

Defining the path

If you decide to continue, we define together the frequency, the most appropriate therapist, and the modality — in person, online or mixed.

04

Continued care

The therapeutic process takes shape. Duration and rhythm are defined based on what makes sense for you.

Questions that often arise

How long does a therapeutic process take?

There is no single answer. Some people work with us for a few months to address a specific question. Others extend the process for years, in an analytical path of greater depth. The rhythm and duration are defined with you, based on what the process calls for — not on a pre-set protocol.

What is the difference between psychotherapy and Jungian analysis?

Individual psychotherapy is a space of listening and elaboration that can work with several models. Jungian analysis is a specific form of psychotherapy, longer and deeper, focused on the process of individuation — the work with dreams, symbols and the unconscious dimension of experience. Both have their place, and we decide together which makes more sense for you.

Are online consultations as effective as in-person ones?

Contemporary research shows that, for most clinical presentations, online psychotherapy has comparable efficacy to in-person work. There are, however, situations in which physical presence matters — and in those cases we discuss it openly with you. We use secure, GDPR-compliant platforms.

How is my therapist chosen?

Several factors are considered: the kind of issue you bring, the most appropriate intervention model, the language in which you feel most comfortable, and availability. The first consultation also serves this assessment. If needed, we may redirect you to another member of the team before the process begins.

Are the processes confidential?

Absolutely. All Psingular professionals are bound by professional secrecy as established by the Portuguese Psychologists' Association. Clinical records are handled rigorously and protected under GDPR. Nothing you share in session is disclosed without your express consent, except in the very rare legal exceptions (imminent risk to life, court order).

The first step can begin today.

The assessment consultation does not commit you to continuing. It is simply a meeting to see whether it makes sense for us to work together.
