Between analytical practice and neuroscience

João Ereiras Vedor is a clinical psychologist and Jungian analyst. Co-founder of Psingular, he is responsible for the project’s strategic vision and maintains a regular clinical practice — focused particularly on Jungian analysis and analytical psychotherapy with adults.

His training spans two traditions rarely brought together in a single professional: Jung’s depth psychology, with its attention to symbol, dream and the archetypal dimension, and contemporary neuroscience, which he pursues through advanced training at the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela.

The unconscious is not a poetic metaphor. It is a neurodynamic reality — and clinical work that ignores it loses as much as the neuroscience that reduces it. João Ereiras Vedor

He is the author of academic publications in international peer-reviewed journals, including BioSystems (Elsevier) and Theory & Psychology (SAGE), in which he brings Jungian analytical psychology into dialogue with neuroscience and Code Biology — an approach that understands archetypes as neurodynamic patterns and dreams as a coded language.

He also created Jungcast, a Portuguese-language podcast devoted to bringing Jungian thought to a wider audience.

Dreams as a code language

Bringing dreams together with the language of biological codes. Dream formation is treated as an adaptive coding system — not an epiphenomenon — opening the way to a neurodynamics of dreaming.

Book a first conversation

The initial consultation is an opportunity to get to know each other — with no commitment to continue. To see whether it makes sense for us to work together.
