Neuropsychological assessment and cognitive-behavioural psychotherapy
Clinical coordination of the neuropsychology area
About
Catarina Costa is a clinical psychologist and heads the Neuropsychology and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapies (CBT) area at Psingular. She brings together two complementary clinical worlds: neuropsychological assessment, with the technical rigour it demands, and psychotherapeutic intervention on a cognitive-behavioural basis.
Her clinical approach is distinguished by its combination of methodological rigour and human warmth. The neuropsychological reports she produces are technical and thorough — but written so that the person assessed (and their family) can read and understand them.
Neuropsychological assessment does not diagnose people — it characterises ways of functioning. And those who are assessed deserve language that gives them back power, not language that takes it away. Catarina Costa
She works with children, adolescents and adults in both assessment and cognitive-behavioural psychotherapy — particularly with anxiety disorders, depression and learning difficulties.
